How We Inspect Every Bag Before Dispatch
A seller can claim '100% genuine LEGO®' without checking a thing. We actually do it. What does that look like?
Source Phase: Incoming Stock
We purchase bulk LEGO® from private sellers, clearances and events. Upon arrival:
- Visual inspection for brand stamps (LEGO®, MEGA BLOKS, OXFORD, etc.)
- Remove anything that isn't LEGO® — including counterfeit brands that look deceptively similar
- Wash in lukewarm soapy water for heavily soiled batches
Sorting Phase
The source bulk goes through a coarse sieve:
- Pieces smaller than 1×1 plate removed
- Damaged or bite-marked bricks removed
- Oversized items (instruction booklets, non-brick accessories) removed
What remains is build-ready bulk.
Weighing Phase per Bag
Each bag weighed individually on a digital scale with 0.1 g precision. Target weight ±2% of label limit (a 1 kg bag = 980–1020 g).
Photography Phase
Two photos per bag: 1. In the transparent polybag — exactly as you'll receive it 2. Tipped onto white background — for detailed inspection
Photos are uploaded with the lot number. What you see on /lot/X is exactly what you get — no 'similar bag' or stock photo.
Labelling Phase
Each bag receives a unique lot number (e.g. BB-1000-0042). Sticker on the polybag, also in our database. Fully traceable, even after 6 months.
Ready to Ship
Bag goes into storage shelving. Upon order: quick re-check for damage during storage, then into shipping box.
Total: ~10 Minutes per Bag
Source phase + sorting + weighing + photography + labelling = approximately 10 minutes of manual work per bag. That's why our product costs slightly more than budget bulk from China — but you get 100% certainty.
Guarantee
Should you ever find a counterfeit brick: send a photo, we replace it and issue credit. But in 4 years, that's happened twice — our inspection rarely misses it.
